Baker Hughes: an Introduction
Baker Hughes is one of the world's leading oilfield services companies with solutions that enable oil and gas operators to lower cost, reduce risk, and improve productivity.
If you know about Baker Hughes, you will be aware of the work we do worldwide. If you don't know much about our company, you may be surprised to learn about our history, and about the size and global extent of our business.
We've been a technology leader for more than 100 years, creating value with high-performance products and services. Baker Hughes engineers and scientists invent and implement innovative technology that rivals the space industry in its complexity and sophistication.
The scale and scope of our organization-we operate in more than 90 countries-means we offer career opportunities across the globe. We employ more than 50,000 people who work in dedicated local teams to provide reliable, practical solutions to increasingly demanding technical challenges in the fields of drilling and evaluation, completions and production, and fluids and chemicals.
We conduct our business ethically and responsibly, ensuring safety and security for our people, the environment, and the communities in which we work. We base our high-performance culture on the Core Values of Integrity, Teamwork, Performance, and Learning.
We believe diversity will make us an employer of choice and a more competitive company. We're committed to an inclusive work environment with opportunities for all to reach their full potential.
We further believe in hiring the best and promoting from within. That means that if you join as a university graduate and train with us as a field engineer, you will be given every chance to learn, to take on responsibility, to prove yourself, and to move ahead in your career.
Field Engineers work on delivering frontline technical services and solutions to our customers across any one of Baker Hughes' service lines. The job is physically and mentally demanding. While challenging, it provides the foundational stages of a career within the company, and builds the necessary knowledge, business and leadership skills to positions of increasing responsibility within the company.
We'll provide you with all the training and resources you'll need to meet the challenges ahead. Not to mention every opportunity to move onwards and upwards within any business area of the company - and the support network you need to do so. Ours is an empowering, collaborative environment, we take responsibility for our success and we share knowledge and ideas.
In addition to a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Applied Science with CGPA 3.0 and above or similar (e.g. 6.5 out of 10), you'll need to be a proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as have the flexibility to relocate. So, if you're fluent in English and relish the adventure and camaraderie our 24-hour, 365-day, outdoor work environment can offer, we'd like to hear from you.
